\"\"El<\/span><\/span> objetivo principal <\/span><\/span>de esta modificaci\u00f3n es optimizar la carga acad\u00e9mica de los estudiantes, reduciendo el n\u00famero de cursos y cambiando los cr\u00e9ditos de alguno otros. Esto es especialmente relevante en los primeros a\u00f1os de las carreras de nuestra facultad, donde actualmente existen 7 u 8 cursos por semestre, y se aprecian dificultades en cursos como Ingl\u00e9s y Matem\u00e1ticas.<\/p>\n

Las modificaciones buscan racionalizar la carga acad\u00e9mica<\/span>, aumentando los cr\u00e9ditos de aquellos cursos en que \u00e9stos no eran concordantes con su carga efectiva, y dando cr\u00e9ditos a actividades que no la ten\u00edan. Todo ello, consistente con la mantenci\u00f3n de los perfiles de egreso que consideran una formaci\u00f3n integral y diversa a trav\u00e9s de cursos que generan competencias en habilidades comunicacionales, de pensamiento cr\u00edtico y conocimiento de otras disciplinas.<\/p>\n

Las modificaciones propuestas por la direcci\u00f3n de la Escuela de Pregrado est\u00e1n basadas en un proceso de mejora continua del curr\u00edculo que se enmarca en los procesos de autoevaluaci\u00f3n llevados a cabo. En particular, se fundamentan en los estudios de carga acad\u00e9mica de las y los estudiantes desarrollados por el Centro de Ense\u00f1anza y Aprendizaje, la realizaci\u00f3n de grupos focales de la experiencia de estudiantes y profesores sobre los cursos de matem\u00e1ticas, los resultados del proceso de autoevaluaci\u00f3n Internacional y Nacional, con la participaci\u00f3n de estudiantes, acad\u00e9micos y profesionales, y reuniones sistem\u00e1ticas con los acad\u00e9micos de los departamentos y actores claves del proceso.<\/p>\n

La modificaci\u00f3n contempla el derecho de los estudiantes a optar a la nueva malla curricular, con la homologaci\u00f3n de los cursos respectivos. Adem\u00e1s, para quienes se mantengan con la malla antigua, se garantiza que se seguir\u00e1n dictando los cursos contemplados en esa malla.<\/p>\n
